Does anyone know the details of the $2,695 sparcprinter (announced on Wednesday 26th)?. From what I read, it uses a program called Newsprint ($495) which runs on the host and thus the printer doesn't need a Postscript interpreter (like the Next). I'd like to know how fast it is, what the DPI resolution is, etc. Eduardo Krell AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ UUCP: {att, decvax, ucbvax}!ulysses!ekrell Internet: ekrell@ulysses.att.com

I have a couple of questions about the SparcPrinter. I know that is is connected to an S-Bus card in a SparcStation, but I would like to know how long the cable between the printer and the SparcStation can be. Also, are those of you using the SparcPrinter satisfied with it? Terry Hull Work: terry@eece.ksu.edu, rutgers!ksuvax1!eecea!terry
