In our lab there are 8 sun 3/60s each with a shoebox containing a SCSI hard drive. They make a lot of noise. We are considering putting the shoeboxes alltogether in a larger cooling cabinet with better noise reduction. The concern is how long a SCSI cable could be and where we can get cables in specific lengt. The machines are networked but we'd rather not to dedicate one machine to be diskless server of others. Thanks.
