I have a Sun/SLC, running Sun OS 4.1.1. I create large files (160,000 bytes/file), at the rate of about 5 files/minute. These files are created on the local system disk and then written out over the network to another client machine (sun 4/260). I also have an A/D (Analog-to-Digital) converter hanging off the SCSI bus, which pumps binary data to the system disk over the SCSI bus at the rate of 64 kbytes/sec. My file-system is frequently getting corrupted, with duplicate inodes. The corrupted files are different each time, with no clearly discernible pattern. Could someone shed light on this mys(mess)tery? Any suggestions??
