We are thinking of buying a Sun SPARCserver2 to support 15 X terminals. I have heard that the Sun architecture does not perform well in multiuser environments. Do you think a SPARCserver2 is capable of supporting the above? What exactly is the problem with the architecture which makes multiuser perform badly? We will probably have 64 MB of memory and be running lisp, OODBMS, Poplog and an expert system shell.
