What's the difference in using /dev/rst0 versus using /dev/rst8? The device is an exabyte 8mm cartridge tape drive, Sparcstation 1+, SunOS 4.1. We have some programs that work fine using 0, but fail after reading okay for a while using 8. Marty Olevitch Internet: marty@wuphys.wustl.edu
