We may be the recipient of some (anywhere from 1 to 20!) Sun 2s due to the largess of a neighboring university. Could anyone describe the Sun 2 and its features for me? I take it that it's a 680x0-based workstation-type beast and has Ethernet built in?? Prof. Peter J. I need to set up an ethernet link whereby a ss2 can access disks mounted on a Sun-2 running OS3.1. The ss2 will be running 4.1.1. Has anyone ever done something like this? Is it possible? The file system changed somewhere around 3.5 (i think). Is it upwards compatible? Any and all suggestions are welcome. I'll summarize if there's any interest.
