A professor here is interested in purchasing a Sparcstation 2, and he's run into a few questions. His current environment is several PC's, a Macintosh, a ImageWriter II, and an Apple Laserwriter NTX. Current all the machines run TOPS using twisted pair, but he's wired for ethernet and may go that route in the future. 1) He's purchasing the GX option, and 2 669 meg hard drives.. The current configuration will take up all 3 S-Bus slots. This doesn't leave room for the printer controller. Who makes S-Bus expansion chasis, and what are their prices? 2) The Sun technical support said that he can NOT print from a Mac or PC to a Sparc2 with a Sparcprinter (the postscript printer).. Are there alternative solutions (third party, etc). Many thanks in advanced..
