I've got an Apple Laserwriter connected to one of the serial ports of my 4/390. This is what my printcap file looks like: alp|Apple Laser Writer:\ :lp=/dev/ttyd:br#9600:\ :ms=-parity,onlcr,ixany:\ :sd=/var/spool/alp:\ :lf=/var/adm/lpd-errs: When I send something to this printer, the Laserwrite receives the job through the serial line, but then just chews on it forever.. Is it sufficient to simply blast unfiltered postscript source down its serial interface and expect it to handle it properly, or do I need some control software to get the job done? thanx -Greg. -- Greg Vesper (vesper@kong.gsfc.nasa.gov) 301-286-5162 Goddard Space Flight Center; Greenbelt, Maryland "Before kingdoms change, men's hearts must change."
