Hi. We have ordered a few Seagate st1480 (~426 MB) hard drives to install in various workstations here ( DECstations, VAXstations, etc. ). Well, it is time to install one in my SS1 (the only Sun here, sniff) and I have noticed a number of articles referring to problems with heat buildup in the pizza box when installing high capacity drives. My SS1 has a single 104MB drive in it currently, and I expect to just plunk the new drive in the space normally consumed by the second drive. Is there any problem with this? Have YOU installed this particular drive in your SS1, and can you point out any possible problems I may encounter? Thanx in advance. steve kalinowski university of pittsburgh ski@cis.pitt.edu 600 epsilon drive (412) 624-6421 pittsburgh pa 15238
