We've got an application that runs under both SunView and X by being linked with support libraries specific to the environment that provide a consistent API of our own devising. The SunView product seemed to be fortunately dying away, but there has been a recent demand for it. When I try to relink the application with the SunView-specific libraries, I keep getting "too many paranoids using enumerator" when I run it. (The application has evolved somewhat under X, and it has been a while since I tried to get the latest version up under SunView.) What, on God's green earth, is a "paranoid", how can one get too many of them, and what is the "enumerator" that they are trying to use?!? I can find no mention of these in the manuals, though I have a couple guesses as to what might be happening. Does anyone have any hints on how to debug these type of notifier error messages? -- Ken Hardy uunet!racerx!ken Bridge Information Systems racerx!ken@relay1.uu.net
