[comp.sys.sun] postscript to latex ??

system@ic.upc.es (Emili Sanroma CCIC) (06/28/91)

OK, its stupid, but I think I need it.

This is my problem. There are a lot of people that use TeX because
it can be sent through normal mail system without encoding, and it can
be printed by all the people that have TeX.

It's better to use desktop publishing programs (Interleaf, Frame Maker,
Island Graphics, ...) And all these programs can generate .ps files but
never .tex. I think it's possible that someone could not print the file
if he didn't have the correct type of printer (same drivers, ...).

Perhaps the solution will be to use a desktop publishing program, save the
file in postscript and afterwards translate them to .tex and send it by mail.

I would appreciate your opinion and any suggestions you might have.
