I am interested in any information that anyone might have about the available CASE software. We currently have a cmttee deciding on the matter of what software to use and how to use it in our course structure. We have examined some of the products but the vendors have not been eager to tell us who the people are using their products so that we could get feedback. Points of interest: learning curve time, ease of use, connectivity, version control, how well it connects to other products, costs, environment (i.e. SunView, OW), support, manuals (reference & tutorial), scope of the product (i.e. does it do DFD's, Data Dictionaries, Structure Charts, pseudo coding, "syntax" checking of the aforementioned, etc.??? - how well?). Comments from users and administrators in academic and business environments are encouraged - good, bad and ugly. Even if you've only been using it for a week I'm interested in hearing about it! I will summarize. -Rodney rodney@snowhite.cis.uoguelph.ca Department of Computing and Information Science University of Guelph Sun & NeXT Admin.
