Yesterday's New York Times (12-May) did an article on phone card scams. Seems there are people offering trans-country ($2) and workd($4) unlimited phone calls. They dial the number (with a credit card number stolen by a hacker and transmitted via network) for the person and they get to talk. It seems the densitiy of credit codes is high enough so that about anyone with persistance cand find them. Does anyone have some reasonable technical suggetions about what could be done (I realize that a lot of ideas are shot down by the Long Distance Carries because of marketing and simplicity reasons) - Steven Gutfreund
