[net.unix-wizards] IBM DACU and Ethernet

I don't understand the relationship between the DACU and the 750.

The DACU is a UNIBUS MASTER, just like a DEC CPU is. If you want
to connect a DEC CPU to an IBM channel, you don't want a DACU,
you want the DEC CSS UNIBUS-to-channel adaptor, which has been
around for quite a few years.

You might wish to consider investigating the CSNET implementation
of TCP/IP for IBM's VM operating system, and the excellent
TCP/IP implementations that exist for 4.1 BSD (from Gurwitz@bbn-unix)
and 4.2 BSD (standard distributed code), before getting involved with
"vendor" software.
