But...a # doesn't have eight beams...only 4...two really if you define beam as being horizontal...just call it a pound sign... which, I suppose, refers to some typewriter which have the British pound sign over the 3...I just call it the number sign...I've also heard it referred to as a ticktacktoe... -8b@cup.portal.com
