I have an old Western Electric/AT&T 2-piece speakerphone that I would like to be able to use. The larger part has a speaker and most of the circuitry, and has a 20-pin plug that looks like it would fit into a 50-pin cable from an old 5-line key system. The other part has a microphone, on-off switch, indicator lamp, and volume control, and an 8-pin connector. Is it possible to connect this to an ordinary phone line?
