According to Harry Newton, in the June, 1989 issue of [Teleconnect Magazine], 'area code' 710 is now assigned to Government Services. Would anyone care to comment, elaborate or refute his claim? By Government Services, does he mean an 'area code' under which all FTS and/or Autovon lines are handled for billing purposes, etc? Inquiring Moderator wants to know.

It is wierd. Tom Roberts att!ihnet!tjr [Moderator's Note: So, can you please explain what are 'Special' government services? What would happen if I dialed one of those numbers? How are they accessed from government phones? Details, please....spare no details! Anybody?? PT]
