We are currently running version 2.10.1 of the news software. As documented
the expire program has lost the ability to work without a history file,
and the ability to rebuild the history file. We have noticed that a large
number of articles is some groups do not have entries in the history file.
Obviously under the current situation, these articles will never be expired.
Has anyone fixed expire to work with the new directory structure? if so,
are the fixes available?. If not has anyone got code to build a history
file from the directories themselves? Also, does anyone know what causes
some entries to be missed/lost/whatever from the history file?
