[net.unix-wizards] sh: 31415: Memory Fault - core dumped

mjs@rabbit.UUCP (10/12/83)

I have a (hideous) shell script which `all of a sudden' reports that
one of the programs I invoke dies from a core dump. Well, that is
useful information, but I need to know just which process dies! Has
anyone hacked /bin/sh to report the command which actually dies, rather
(or in addition to) the process id? The script takes a half hour or so
to run, so executing it by hand is at best painful. Does anyone out
there have any useful suggestions?
