I've wondered for quite a while how does one get the inward in another country or city for example. I hear only operators can do that with special keys. How those that work. Do they just type a number or is is more complicated. aaron@castor.usc.edu [Moderator's Note: You don't get Inward. Only the operators get it. There are no 'special keys' involved, but rather, special dialing codes which the equipment will accept when dialed by an operator. Inward is generally the area code plus another three digit number. The operators use it to converse with their counterpart in another city, for assistance in making a connection or verifying that a number is engaged, or troubled. PT]
