For a report I'm working on, it would be helpful to have the following traffic engineering data: 1) What is the average and peak rate of calls handled within the United States (or, if that's too difficult, by the major long distance carriers)? 2) What is the mean call duration? 3) Are there any estimates as to the fraction of bandwidth/calls/usage devoted to voice, data, fax, ...? Any references, suggestions, clues, hints or guesses are appreciated.
