A student of mine works in the Miwaukee Bone Marrow unit and recently had a difficult experience with a patient who came from Brazil and spoke no English. No Portugese (sp?) speaking staff were available. I recall that some arm of ATT supported operators who had multilingual experience. Might they be pressed into service in a medical problem such as this? What are they called, where, etc. It is probably best just to email me this, as it did appear earlier and may not be of general interest. Leonard P.
