The latest Allentown (Pa.) directory says to dial 1+201+7D for local calls from, say, Easton to N.J., and that this was done because 215 is running out of prefixes. Also, the Western Delaware County (Pa.) directory says the same thing regarding local calls to Delaware (i.e. dial 1+302+7D), and adds that this measure provides "short term relief" for 215-area prefix shortage. But for as long as I could remember, Kemblesville (215-255) dialed 1+368-xxxx for toll call to Lansdale and 368-xxxx (now 1-302-368-xxxx) for local call to 368 in Newark, Del.
