[Inclusion of access codes as parts of phone numbers, etc, deleted] We could try to use CCITT standard address formats... (I'm not an expert, so someone -please- correct me if I mess this up, but...) CCITT Recommendation E.164 specifies formats for addresses. I don't have a copy in front of me (sorry), but I believe the format is (using my work phone as an example): +1.201.758.4099 + = whatever access code is needed 1 = country code 201 = npa (area) code 758 = office code 4099 = whatever it's called -- line within an exchange Everything after the country code is specific to the national dialing plan, but the + and country code are pretty standard. [Moderator's Note: 'whatever it is called' is frequently known as the suffix. Readers: Is there an official name for the last four digits? PT]
