I wen't to the N.E. Computer Show today, and saw something I could not beleive with my eyes. (I have a flyer if you can't beleive it). The new opsystem for the pdp-11 is not the following: RSX-11 RT-11 UNIX V7 RSTS Or anything else you might imagine on a PDP-11... (clearly nothing I would EVER guess). The company 'LOGICRAFT Inc': P.O. Box 3475 3 Graham Drive Nashua, N.H. 03061 (603)-888-4448 Has done the UN-THINKABLE. They put, (please be seated), 'CP/M' on the pdp-11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have stayed longer, but nearing illness, I had to leave, need I say why? "What's wrong with unix?", or maybe better, "What's wrong with thease people?". Yours In Hacking, -Shawn p.s. Btw, ** THIS IS NOT A HACK OR JOKE **

They put CP/M on the PDP-11 Is this news? What do they think RT-11 is? CP/M was cloned from RT-11 in the good ole days; RT-11 has grown a little since then, but it's still the same user interface, the same design, the same system: BDOS RMON CCP KMON BIOS Drivers And DIR, PIP, ^U, ^C: all these are copied from RT-11. So why bother putting CP/M on the PDP-11? It's been there for years. -- Ian F. Darwin, Toronto uucp: utcsstat!ian
