My relatively new AT&T 4600 cordless phone stopped working the other day. The "hot line" says it's a scrambled security code caused by the phone's being (a) physically next to the refrigerator and/or (b) plugged into the same outlet. Are they correct? Will an isolation transformer help? If simply interrupting the power for 15+ seconds will reset everything, is there anything I can do to back up the phone number memory in the base unit so that I don't have to reenter it each time this happens?
