Let's say I have four incoming lines and a dozen phone outlet boxes, each fed by three-pair cable. I want them in a "star" arrangement, using a "66-block", so that each outlet may be connected to any incoming lines at random. I can think of more than one way to do this, but I'd like to stick to a "standard" scheme just in case someone else ends up maintaining it. For discussion purposes, assume the block is vertical, and I'll call the top row of "jaws" 1A 1B 26A 26B, the second row 2A 2B 27A 27B, etc. Let's call the incoming wires T1 R1, T2 R2, etc. and the wires to the outlet boxes Ta Ra, Tb Rb, etc. Also, can more than one wire be reliably connected to each "jaws" terminal on the block? Thanks, John Parsons
