That's the standard recording, "Kein Anschluss under dieser Nummer" which means "No connection under this number." It is still in use, and I haven't had a chance yet to determine the conditions under which you get one and not the other. My guess is that you get the "No connection under this prefix" recording in Berlin when you have dialled a valid East Berlin exchange using the West Berlin prefix. john
