I've got a couple of questions that some of you may know the answer to: 1. If one resells tariffed services purchased from an LEC or IXC, is oneself subject to filing tariffs themselves or otherwise under regulation? For example, if one were to offer a discount "calling card" service by purchasing long distance service in bulk, and having callers dial in and enter an id code and phone number, could they do this freely and in any manner they liked? 2. Are private voice mail companies protected against the content of messages left on their systems in the same way a common carrier would be? If a drug dealer were to use a voicemail system, is the operator of the system an accomplice? Thanks, Steve Forrette, forrette@cory.berkeley.edu
