Notice to readers of TELECOM Digest:
I am sorry to announce that it has become necessary for me to
temporarily discontinue distribution of TELECOM Digest via the
comp.dcom.telecom newsgroup on Usenet.
There were various reasons involved in reaching this decision, and I
wish it were not necessary, but for now it is. TELECOM Digest will be
continuing on a daily basis, with myself as Moderator. At some point
in the future, the Usenet community may elect to appoint a Moderator
for this group (comp.dcom.telecom) so that telecom discussions can be
resumed here. It may be that I am appointed to that role, or perhaps
someone else will be chosen instead.

Finally, my sincere thanks for your excellent messages and support of
the Digest in the past. Perhaps the Digest will appear here again at
some time in the future.
