New Requests for Comments are now available from the Network Information Center in the <RFC> directory at SRI-NIC. RFC 869: Title: A Host Monitoring Protocol Author: R. Hinden Pages : 70 pathname: <RFC>RFC869.TXT This RFC specifies the Host Monitoring Protocol used to collect information from various types of hosts in the Internet. Designers of Internet communications software are encouraged to consider this protocol as a means of monitoring the behavior of their creations. RFC 878: Title: The ARPANET 1822L Host Access Protocol Author: A. Malis Pages : 48 pathname: <RFC>RFC878.TXT This RFC specifies the ARPANET 1822L Host Access Protocol, which is a successor to the existing 1822 Host Access Protocol. The 1822L procedure allows ARPANET hosts to use logical identifiers as well as 1822 physical interface identifiers to address each other. Public access files may be copied from the <RFC> directory at SRI-NIC via FTP with username ANONYMOUS and password GUEST. Submissions for Requests for Comments should be sent to POSTEL@USC-ISIF.
