The local United Artists Cable (owned by TCI) got very nervous last year when Congress was threatening to reregulate cable rates. They quickly raised "basic" service by $2 a month and used the excuse that you were now allowed to have as many hookups as you wanted. They also charge for use of the converter box if you need it. Needless to say, my outdoor antenna works fine and I'm looking forward to the introduction of Skypix direct broadcast this summer.
