I just want to take the time to thank you all for the tremendously useful responses I received regarding 16450s and 16550s. There must have been about 25 repsonses to that single post. If it's not too much to ask, I also have a follow up question: Does anyone know of a four-port serial card with COM ports that can be configured to use different IRQs? That is, COM1 on IRQ4, COM2 on IRQ3, COM3 on IRQ5, etc. If you could point me to a vendor as well that would be great!
