Okay, here's a question to start a discussion: How accurate is K&R II with respect to the (current draft-proposed) ANSI-C standard? K&RII was copyrighted in 1988. The first page of the draft I have (X3J11/88-91) lists the changes that were made between the second and third draft. Clearly, some of these changes are incorporated in K&RII (no "noalias" keyword,...). The question is, how does K&RII differ from the latest draft-proposed standard? Please don't tell us "as of 1986..." if you don't have access to both K&RII AND one of the latest two drafts. (Either of the latest two drafts should be sufficient because there were "no substantial" changes made to the last draft in producing the final draft-proposal. Had any "substantial" changes been made, the draft would be open for public review again.) REPLIES TO NEWSGROUP: comp.std.c. Thomas B.
