I'm having a problem installing Xenix on a 386. The system is configured like this: Trump 386 mother board (Chips and Technologies peripheral chips) CDC Wren V Hard disk (383 Mb unformatted capacity) 1224 Cylindars 15 Heads Write Precomp 128 Landing Zone 1224 Western Digital WD 1007 controller Video Seven Fast Write VGA (16 bit) The other peripherals should not interfere with installation. The installation is running into problems with the badtrk routine. It either fails or finds too many bad tracks to fit into the table. On an earlier installation we found a real conflict between a 16 bit VGA card (Trident chip set) and the WD 1007 controller and switching to an 8 bit VGA card allowed installation to continue. I'm wondering whether there is some conflict with the BIOSs of the VGA and HD controller. Has anyone had this kind of problem? SCO has been helpful with a checklist of things to watch for, but they cannot confirm/deny any of my suspicions. Thanks in advance for any help. Mark T.
