[comp.unix] UNIX kernel hacker for 126 CPU multiprocessor needed

brooks@maddog.llnl.gov (Eugene Brooks) (11/27/89)

Some may view this posting as not appropo for this group, but it is the
best way to notify UNIX kernel hackers about a very unusual opportunity.

LLNL is looking for an experienced UNIX/MACH kernel hacker to create
"value added" kernel enhancments to a 126 processor BBN TC2000
(Butterlfy-II) machine (20MHZ Mot88K processors in a shared memory
configuration). Desired kernel hooks include interleaving many
disk drives into a high performance file system, and adding hooks for
support of parallel programs which will be use by system daemons and
applications, among many others. Kernel experience with UNIX or MACH
is a requirement of this position, US citizenship is required as well.

This a very unusual high visibility opportunity in a research machine
environment. Any interested parties should contact

No doubt I own an apology to anyone who does not like learning of
a good job opportunity, but flames are not welcome.
