Wow, I thought such games were extinct by now.... Anyway, I liked it (haven't looked at it for a few years now), and my problem is that once I've gotten to the level with the yoyo, string, and all those other strange goodies (I think it's level 4), I run out of ideas. The only way out of that section of the maze I can see is UP, and it's a LOT harder to "fall up" than down (the pit on level 2). I did have a few levels of it mapped out, but I might not have the map now. Has anyone solved this without any spoilers or looking at the object code? A long long time ago in an article far far away (<15532@shemp.CS.UCLA.EDU> to be exact) mikel@CS.UCLA.EDU (Mike Liang) said: -[>Throw Sneaker -[The sneaker sails around the corner and is eaten by the monster. -[The dog chases the sneaker around the corner... and is eaten by the monster. - -Anyone remember Deathmaze 5000? -Has anyone solved it? - I was never able to solve it (and last time I asked I couldn't get any definitive help), but I'm willing to help you avoid that problem above. I was never able to get to the mythical 5th level. Feel free to mail or post to rec.games.misc if you have solved it. I MAY (it's been a while) have a map of the first 4 levels available... SPOILER! Throw String. [The monster gets tangled up in the string] Stab monster. [The monster is dead] (or something like that). I got hooked on this game for a while and mapped out the first 4 or 5 levels but gradually ended up with a large wuantity of stuff I didn't know what to do with and no apparant exit after some time. Mine also had the tendency to bomb sometimes so I soon lost interest. I tried looking at the object code but about all the useful information I got out of that was a list of commands to try. I think I have all my maps and such lying around somewhere because they were pretty small levels (in comparison to Wizardry or such). Jay Shrauner jas@dadent.wustl.edu
