Yes I as well played infestation for hours and days on end and could never figure out how to use the elevator passes...

If anyone knows how PLEASE let me know! I got this game recently also, but my manual was in French! Eventually I worked out how to get into the complex. You go to the terminal on the surface (coordinates about 90,13), look at the screen and hit f2. Now you need to identify yourself, so enter 'KAL SOLAR', and it should say at the bottom "Transporter Activated". Then, you go to the transporter (coords 50,50) and walk through the arch in the direction of the flashing arrows!
