sutherla@qtp.ufl.edu (Scott Sutherland) asks for help: > I have just found out that in some of the dungeons/caverns/ >castles in MM II certain characters are NOT allowed in. Yes, there are class or race restrictions for some dungeons. However, it is not as big a problem as you fear. Bringing "incorrect" characters will not cause sudden death. It may inconvience you, by teleporting you around. You won't be able to grab the nifty <class>-specific magic item in the dungeon if you have a member of that <class>. >HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THESE RESTRICTIONS??? 1. Bring them in anyway, to map out the place. Later, go in with a politically correct party. 2. Use Hirelings of the correct class/race to fill out our party. >Do I have to have multiple characters of each class in EACH city? You should have no problems moving between cities, by using the friendly natives willing to teleport you around. >[Only one sorcerer in Dark Keep?] If you find the right message on a dungeon wall, you will be able to go through the Dark Keep with no combat at all. You must do this for your character to gain his "plus", or accreditation form the Jurors of Mt. Fairview, and get into the end game. Remember, thieves can go along when seeking your plus. You should have one thief as a PC, and hire other thieves and individuals of the appropriate class. Perhaps you should look around, and try to rescue more people who will be willing to work for you.
