I was wondering if anybody had tried running Balance of Power under Windows 3.0, in any of the windows modes. (I know it was written for 1.X, so I wouldn't be surprised if it dies in standard mode.) Does it work at all, and is it as slow as it is with the included run-time version of Windows 1.X? -- Jim Seidman (Drax), the accidental engineer. I'm running Balance of Power 1990 edition under Win 3.0 with no problems. The 1990 edition did away with hard disk protection, and uses a manual-lookup instead. The game ran really slow at first because I was running at 800x600 resolution. Resizing the window to close to 640x480 made it run much much faster. I guess it was stretching all the bit maps or something. But it works fine. Paul Gyugyi gyugyi@rascals.stanford.edu "What's a .sig?"
