gary@ayou34.enet.dec.com (05/30/91)

Someone posted a reply asking what the killing cloud is like, heres a quick review...

The Killing Cloud is set in the 'nearish' future where San Fransico has been covered by a cloud
of toxic waste, a street gang 'The Black Angels' are causing all sorts of problems, and you play
a member of the San Fransice Police Department, hell bent on bringing them to justice...

The GamePlay

TKC follows your standard do one mission move on to the next one sort of idea.. i.e proceed to
Chinatown where you suspect is driving about in a stolen van, capture him alive... The Game
offers a flight-simulator type view as you fly about San Fransico in the next generation of
police mobile, a hover bike. Before embarking on a mission you set out backup which consists
of nets for capturing your targets and PUPS (can't remember what it stands for) for putting them
in and taking them back to the station, both these objects can be placed in any part of the city
for you to pick up once you embark on the mission.

The Graphics

Not bad, not the smoothest scrolling I've seen but nicley detailed, you can select high-medium-low detail levels and whether to put contours on or off.

Sound

Adequate.

All in all I really like this game, It creates a good atmosphere and plays well, I'd reccomend it,
Now If only someone could help me get past mission 5 !

Want to know any more, let me know,

Cheers,

Gary.
