[rec.games.misc] Prince of Persia help needed

s892011@minyos.xx.rmit.oz.au (Mr.Scary) (06/17/91)

What am I supposed to do at the very top section of level 12 when my
mirror image attacks me ? Whenever I hit him I seem to take damage too (makes
sense I suppose). It's all very confusing. Any ideas anyone ?

PS. I thought the part in level 8(?) where the Princess' pet mouse comes along
and steps on the pressure pad to release you was one of the nicest touches
    I've ever come across in a computer game. One-two-three..."Ohhhhhh !" ;)

PPS. PoP is one of the few games that's ever given me a true feeling of
    vertigo, esp. Level 12

Thanks,

Mr.Scary

You must "merge" with your alter-ego. He's attacking because your sword is
drawn. Put your sword away by pressing the down arrow and then move towar
him without drawing it (not easy, but possible). Your next move after
this manuever is a real leap of faith.

If you like a game to give you a good deal of vertigo, check out "Continuum",
which just recently hit the market. Vertigo city and an interesting concept.
It does, however, tend to get frustrating after many hours of play.

Simply put your sword away and walk into your mirror-image, you and the
image will become one.....
