I'm having problems mailing a stream_LF file across decnet. The file is produced by an SQL query to an ORACLE database. I'm using the command $ mail faultchk.zap r11a::crouch and get the error message %MAIL-E-SENDERR, error sending to user CROUCH at R11A %RMS-W-RTB, 265 byte record too large for user's buffer Both the vax I'm on and the one I'm sending too are running VMS 4.6 (although the same problem occurs if I try and send to an ULTRIX machine). Has anybody experienced similar problems or have any idea what it is I've got to modify to get this to work. The full directory listing of the file is Directory USER_DISK:[PLANT.SQL] FAULTCHK.ZAP;6 File ID: (5454,15,2) Size: 3/3 Owner: [SYSTMMGR,PLANT] Created: 21-FEB-1988 20:01 Revised: 21-FEB-1988 20:01 (2) Expires: <None specified> Backup: <No backup recorded> File organization: Sequential File attributes: Allocation: 3, Extend: 0, Global buffer count: 0, No version limit Record format: Stream_LF Record attributes: Carriage return carriage control Journaling enabled: None File protection: System:RWED, Owner:RWED, Group:RE, World: Access Cntrl List: None Total of 1 file, 3/3 blocks.
