I would like to upgrade my VaxStation 200 from 4 to 6 megabytes. This involves replacing the 2 megabyte expansion board with a 4 megabyte board. DECs list price for this is $3500. Does anyone have a cheaper option? -- Harry Edmon UUCP: harry@rainy.atmos.washington.edu or (206) 543-0547 uw-beaver!geops!rainy!harry Department of Atmospheric Sciences University of Washington BITNET: HARRY@UWARITA

Clearpoint has an 8mb and a 16mb (!) board for the VS2000. I don't remember their prices off-hand, but you can call them at 1-800-CLEARPT. Mike Iglesias University of California, Irvine

Posting-Front-End: GNU Emacs 18.41.8 of Thu Feb 4 1988 on fear (berkeley-unix) I have never seen or used the products and am in no way associated with the vendor, but, according to ads I have seen, Clearpoint Research Corp (1-800-CLEARPT) sells 8 and 16 Mbyte ram boards for the MicroVax 2000. These might also work in the VaxStation, and could very well be cheaper than DEC's upgrade to 4 Mbytes (at least per Mbyte). I would be interested in other peoples experiences using these products. -- -Bob Kukura uucp: {husc6,linus,harvard,bbn}!spdcc!lexicon!rk phone: (617) 891-6790
