We have an old TD Systems SCSI<->mscp adapter we are using on a
microVAX II attached to a CDC WREN IV (~330 Mbyte). We have had good
luck using it with ULTRIX 2.3 but it is not recognized by ULTRIX 3.0
(FT2). We could stay with 2.3 the rest of our lives but suspect that
eventualy we will want to move on. (that's progress)
We have "full" software support but DEC has more interest in supporting
hardware sales than software customers (I should rephrase that sometime)
so it is our problem.
TD Systems says that it must be that the board we have is too old to
support the (new?) mscp. Suggests buying a new one.
QUESTIONS -- for users of ULTRIX 3.0 :
Has anyone a TD Systems controller (model?) connected to any SCSI drive?
Has anyone any controller (mfg?model?) to a WREN IV or V?
Has anyone suggestions about where to go(no flames) or what to do?
