I've "inherited" a Micro PDP-11 to use in my office. This machine is configured to run A-Z right now. It has 512kb RAM, an RX50 flippy floppy and an RD52 hard drive. It seems to have 6 serial lines (including the console and "printer" DLs). This is an F11 based machine. I'm curious what Unix systems are available for this configuration, and what people's experiences with them have been. What is the price? Who sells it? What comes with it? Another question: Is it possible to format floppies with this hardware? I used to work with a PRO-350, and it was not possible to format with the controller in that package, but I'm hoping that DEC has mended their ways... Please reply by mail. If enough interest is generated, I'll post a summary of the results in a few weeks. -- _____________________________________________________________________________ Daniel A.
