Does anyone out there have any experience of extracting data from Datatrieve and moving it into other database systems? I'm probably talking about Ingres here although the main problem is getting the stuff out of Datatrieve in a useable form. I know that domains can be printed in ascii form - this would be OK for the odd record or two, but I need to move whole data dictionaries at a time. I can think of several ways to do it but they are all pretty unpleasant and time-consuming. I'd like to hear from anyone who has an automated method of doing the job. David Shoat.
