I am looking for information on how to program the hardware
associated with a QDSS graphics subsystem in a Digital Equipment
Corporation machine. I have the "VCB02 Video Subsytem Technical
Manual" from DEC as well as the X11R3 QDSS sources, but as you would
expect, neither are "real" clear as to how to program the QDSS chips.
I would prefer if I did not have to become intimally familiar with
X11R3 just to understand how to do things. This being the case, does
there exist some simple programs or detailed descriptions on how to
program/talk to these chips?
