I've just discovered that the only one of our vs2000's that has a port for a thick ethernet cable is the one that came with a color monitor. Up to that point, only one. greg pavlov, fstrf, amherst, ny

Comments? The thick port (and A/B switch) was added later so early models do not have it. John Hascall / ISU Comp Center

Comments? These are two independent variables. The 2000 has different hardware for the color monitor than for the mono, and the two are not interchangeable. In addition, early versions were shipped with single ethernet ports that supported only thinwire. Later models are equipped with an ethernet port that supports either the thinwire attachment or transceiver (5 pair) cable to a std ethernet transceiver.
