I started having some sort of trouble with our TK-50 tape drive on: microvax II-gpx Ultrix 1.2 (yeah, I know, I need to upgrade) Trouble seemed to start after installation of another disk drive. I was able to put in someone else's drive and got this to work but noticed his controller (on a VMS machine) had all the dip switches on 0 (OFF) and my controller had #2&3 on one pack and #6 on the other pack as 1(ON). I may have accidentally switched them when I was doing a lot of board/drive swapping. It seems to work ok now though it seems somewhat slower (Yes, such a thing is possible) than before. I wouldn't bother except to do any future software upgrades, it looks like tape would be the only media available. Thanks. BTW - could someone send a "ls -l" of their /dev entries? -- Kim L.
